Tennessee Tech

NavigateU at Tennessee Tech is a research-informed program that provides participating students with individualized coaching, structured skill development, monitored study support, and mentoring opportunities. The program is designed for students who can benefit from additional support in areas such as executive functioning, self-advocacy, social engagement, academic success, and career preparation.

Students participating in NavigateU at Tennessee Tech receive:

  • Weekly one-on-one coaching tailored to their individual needs and goals

  • Structured support for academic success and study skill development

  • Opportunities to build meaningful social connections and community

  • A developmental curriculum focused on independence, self-advocacy, and career readiness

  • Support navigating the transition from high school to college the on into employment

NavigateU at Tennessee Tech is built around the belief that students with disabilities bring valuable strengths, perspectives, and talents to our campus community. Our goal is to provide the tools, supports, and opportunities students need to thrive as their authentic selves. NavigateU at Tennessee Tech is a paid program that is open to eligible Tennessee Tech students who are willing to actively participate in coaching, workshops, and study support throughout the academic year. Tennessee Vocational Rehabilitation will pay most or all of the costs associated with the program for qualified students. Students may also elect to pay directly if they do no work with Voc Rehab.
